Music Director (Mill Creek)

Gold Creek Community Church is seeking a passionate and talented Music Director to collaborate closely with our Worship Pastor in leading our music ministry. The Music Director will play a pivotal role in enhancing the musical worship experience, working harmoniously with the worship team, and fostering a dynamic and engaging musical atmosphere aligned with the church's mission and values. This part-time position offers the potential to grow into a full-time role as the music ministry expands.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Music, Worship Arts, or related field (preferred).
  • One year of experience in music ministry leadership.
  • Proficiency in electric guitar and/or keys, with strong skills in music arrangement and production is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Commitment to the church's mission, values, and doctrinal beliefs.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Personal Responsibilities:
  • 1. Leadership and Direction: Collaborate with the Worship Pastor to lead and direct the church's music ministry, selecting appropriate music for worship services, rehearsals, and special events.
  • Work closely with the worship team, providing guidance, support, and encouragement to musicians and vocalists.
  • 2. Musical Arrangement and Production: Arrange and produce music for various church events under the guidance of the Worship Pastor, ensuring a high-quality and spiritually enriching worship experience.
  • Coordinate with sound technicians and other production staff to ensure seamless execution of musical elements during services.
  • On stage every Sunday playing electric guitar, keys or bass
  • 3. Recruitment and Development: Assist the Worship Pastor in recruiting, training, and developing musicians and vocalists to participate in the worship team.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members to enhance their musical and spiritual growth.
  • 4. Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with the Worship Pastor and other church staff to plan and coordinate worship services, special events, and outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain open communication with the congregation, welcoming feedback and suggestions related to the music ministry.
  • 5. Spiritual Leadership: Foster a culture of worship that encourages spiritual growth, unity, and a deepening relationship with God among church members.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a personal commitment to Christ-centered living and worship.
